This program is a great avenue to instill discipline, self-esteem, focus, and confidence in a fun and exciting manner.
This program introduces kids to life-enduring skills and qualities that include focus, responsibility, respect, higher self-esteem, and confidence in an active and enjoyable environment. Martial arts will help build a successful foundation, upon which the student can continue to build upon. Kids can join at any time and will have a fun and exciting experience in class.
Between bullies, challenging classes, and intimidating teachers, school can be tough. And as a kid, it can take a serious toll on your confidence. At Bastion Martial Arts, we aim to rebuild that confidence and empower students to be the best version of themselves. Karate pushes students out of their comfort zones and encourages them to try new things and challenge themselves. Our karate instructors are committed to giving students the tools needed to take their martial arts skills to the next level, gain a newfound sense of self-esteem, and feel supported. As students grow in karate abilities, their confidence will blossom in all areas of their lives.
Respect is the cornerstone of karate. By constantly maintaining this value, Bastion Martial Arts has created a curriculum that fosters positive student-teacher relationships, achieves a high level of focus and productivity in class, and encourages students to reach their fullest potentials. In most martial arts settings, respect is simply viewed as students bowing to their sparring partners and using the proper terminology to refer to their instructor in class. While we obviously want our students to demonstrate these traditional forms of respect, we also believe that respect is so much more. At Bastion Martial Arts, practicing respect means paying attention in class, encouraging your classmates, being aware of others’ safety while sparring, and practicing self-love even on your bad days.
At Bastion Martial Arts, we’re more than a karate school – we’re your home away from home. We want each and every one of our students to thrive, and we believe that this can only be accomplished if our students are given an environment that promotes growth. Our facility is clean, organized, and filled with a wide range of high-quality equipment. But more importantly, we are home to an incredible staff that is passionate about teaching martial arts to students of all ages and a student base that is dedicated, talented, and eager to welcome new students. When you join Bastion Martial Arts, you are becoming a part of a family. Students encourage one another, help each other with techniques they may be struggling with, celebrate wins together, and form meaningful friendships.
